Challenges, blessings, and transitions

If I haven’t written much this week on most of my blogs, well, it’s because I’ve been pretty busy.

One of the major transitions Jaimie and I have already gone through is that I’ve picked up some extra work on the side. I now spend 10-15 hours a week doing back end web development consulting work. Read on, intrepid explorer →

This is awesome!

I just felt baby girl kicking and moving around for the first time!

It is one of the coolest, strangest, most awesome, most mind-boggling things I have ever felt. There is a little person in there, growing – now big enough that when she moves and pushes or kicks against the womb, I can feel it. Read on, intrepid explorer →

Okay, truth be told? I don’t think this 13 mile run is going to be fun, what with 50-mph winds…

Jaimie thinks she might have felt our little girl kick for the first time last night! Exceptionally exciting! (I still find it extraordinary that there is a small person growing in there.)

This one takes the cake

They say pregnancy affects the brain. It’s true. I have strong evidentiary backing for this claim – all of it hilarious. A few weeks into Jaimie’s pregnancy, I began noticing the side effects – enough so that at one point I sat down with her and said (humorously, but a with a hint of pleading underneath), “My love, please try to keep thinking through the pregnancy.” It’s been our running joke ever since, and we’ve had our share of funny moments since then – but this one takes the cake. It is with considerable delight that I kick off this family blog. I’ve never really had a need for one before – Jaimie and I have been living fairly simple lives, easy enough to keep people up to date on.
